What is Homeopathy?

We often sense that something has changed in our body, mind or emotions long before we understand why.

Sometimes it begins with a physical symptom. Sometimes it is harder to name: a heaviness, a weariness, a sense of being worn down, or simply the feeling that you are no longer quite yourself. Whatever brings you here, your symptoms are not random. They are your body’s way of communicating that something is asking to be heard.

Homeopathy is a gentle system of medicine that listens to this language. Rather than seeing symptoms as isolated problems to be silenced, it understands them as meaningful expressions of the whole person. The aim is not simply to ask, “What has brought you here?” but rather, “How is this uniquely expressing itself through you?” It is that pattern that guides the choice of remedy.

For me, Homeopathy is where nature meets the person. The remedies arise from the plant, mineral and animal kingdoms, each carrying its own qualities and patterns. My role is to listen carefully to your experience, to understand the way your symptoms, thoughts and emotions weave together into one whole, and to find the remedy whose qualities most closely resonate with your experience.

Because there is only one you, your experience deserves to be understood as uniquely as you are.

What to expect

Before we meet

Before your first consultation, I will send you a questionnaire to gather some practical background. Please complete as much or as little as feels right. The questionnaire is simply a place to begin. The consultation itself is a process of discovery. The fuller picture unfolds as we spend time together.

The first consultation

Two unhurried hours

We begin by exploring what has brought you here, along with your health history. You are welcome to arrive exactly as you are, with nothing prepared beforehand. My role is to listen carefully, to notice what unfolds as we spend time together, and to understand the unique pattern expressed through your body, mind and emotions.

Your case is carefully reviewed

After our consultation, I take time to reflect on everything we have discussed and research your case in depth. As part of my supervised practice, an experienced Homeopath also reviews my analysis, meaning two people carefully consider your case.

Your remedy

Your remedy is selected from the whole picture we have explored together. I will then contact you within a few days with your prescription and clear guidance on how and when to take it.

Follow-up consultation

After you have had time with the remedy, we meet again for one hour to explore how you have responded and decide on the next steps together.

Most people begin with the three session package: a first consultation and two follow-ups for £225, which gives a remedy the time it needs to be observed and adjusted. Or £90 for a first consultation and £60 for each follow-up. Full fees.

Homeopathy and your doctor

Homeopathy sits alongside conventional medicine rather than in place of it. I am not a medical doctor, I do not diagnose, and nothing I offer is a substitute for the care of your GP.

Please do not stop or change any medication that has been prescribed for you, unless the person who prescribed it advises you to.

If something about your health worries you, see your GP or call NHS 111. In an emergency, call 999.
