This follows on from The Intelligence of Nature.
Homeopathy does not separate us into different parts. It recognises the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of our experience as interconnected expressions of who we are.
Our dreams, our fears, our emotions, and even the things that seem unusual or difficult to explain can become important signposts on the way towards Healing.
This is the beauty of individualisation.
Every person expresses their imbalance in their own unique way, and every person's story becomes part of understanding the remedy.
As much as I love the intuitive side of this Healing art, I deeply appreciate the scientific aspect of provings and symptoms.
This means I can truly be present with a human being, allowing intuition to guide my perception, but without making assumptions about the constellation of energy that makes up their being.
Afterwards, the symptoms can be verified against the remedy picture.
I have found great relief in this understanding because I believe intuition must, can and should be supported by observation, discernment and discrimination.
It moves Healing from the realm of blind faith into a process that can be explored, observed and refined.
The unprejudiced observer meets the scientist.
The healer gets to work with the wisdom of the kingdoms of nature to bring relief, remove obstacles to Healing and support the individual in returning to balance.
The language of Homeopathy, the rubrics, remedy pictures and patterns, is a bridge that allows the remedy and the human picture to meet.
At first, rubrics were strange to me, and to be honest, they still challenge me the most.
Finding the right words to describe the expression of a person is a task unique in itself. It is as if the Homeopath becomes both translator and pattern seeker, listening carefully for the language hidden within the symptoms.
Every aspect of Homeopathy is a skill of its own.
Truly embedding a remedy picture into the nervous system is a form of intellectual alchemy: understanding whether a person is hot or cold, dreamy or grave, disciplined or lost in space, and seeing the many expressions and polarities within that state.
We are always moving through states of balance and imbalance, stuck or unstuck, compensating or collapsing, through the different stages of a life.
And all along, our symptoms reveal the state of the Vital Force that we cannot see.
This is what makes Homeopathy such a profound and humbling field.
It asks us to listen deeply.
To listen to the person in front of us.
To listen to the wisdom within symptoms.
To listen to the language of nature.
And within that listening, we may discover the unique pathway back towards balance.
